Woolly Mammoth is one of the most popular designs ever produced by ZVEX Effects. This bass fuzz does not only maintain low frequencies – with certain settings, the abundance of the bottoms can cause dizziness, malaise and the desire to pull the string one more time (keep away from children, old people and pregnant women, blah blah blah). The nature of the overload can vary from mild to bite using the Pinch potentiometer – thanks to this, no one will ever call the Mammoth highly specialized. Because this fuzz meets most of the humming lover’s needs – Shaggy will supply the bass player with an elastic, fleecy tone and a rabid gated grommed trombone-like hell that happens when the aforementioned Pinch is in the extreme right position.”
